Our friends over at DKRG have released a book featuring stories of Korean adoptees. The book also includes stories from the children of adoptees, spouses of adoptees, Korean biological parents, and adoptive parents.

The book is 320 pages long and contains 43 real-life stories from around the world. It is dedicated to adoptees worldwide, adoptive parents, biological parents, our partners, spouses, and children of adoptees.

The Korean title of the book can be best translated into: "In Our Own Words".

The book is being published in Korean, targeting a Korean readership, with the aim of providing the Korean public with insight into our lives and stories, told in the words of adoptees, adoptive parents, biological parents, spouses, and children.

Some of the stories stem from articles published by Presion, which ran for a year between 2022 and 2023.

Many stories have been updated based on developments in their stories, while others are entirely new.

Our Korean publisher is hosting a book reception – in Korean style – on 24th October 2024. If you’re in Korea, you are welcome to join us in celebrating the release.

The book has already been dispatched to Korea’s largest bookstores today!
