Annual Truth Day Conference & Korea Tour with The Ties Program

The Ties Program and USKRG have teamed up to curate a week in Seoul for adoptees who are attending Adoption Truth Day on September 9 & 10, 2026. Choose from the Conference only or the Tour (conference included).

USKRG & The Ties Program Korea Tour

Dates of Tour: September 6 - 13, 2026

Location: Seoul, South Korea

Overview: Stay in Seoul for an immersive week of Korean culture, curated for KADs by KADs. Your registration automatically includes:

  • KRG Conference: access to the KRG (Korean Rights Group) conference on September 9 and 10, 2026

  • TRC Day: USKRG & KoRoot have arranged to meet the President of the TRC and will assist tour participants in arranging individual meetings with the investigative team. We will also hand-deliver the KRG Group 5 cases to the TRC

  • Guided Tour Day: Enjoy an adoptee-led day of fun curated for KADs by The Ties Program

  • Temple Stay: After the KRG conference, unwind and recenter at a Buddhist temple away from Seoul and in a serene forest

  • Optional Classes: Opt into pottery, dojang or makgeolli classes.

International Conference on Adoption Truth Day

Dates of Conference: September 9 & 10, 2026

Location: Seoul, South Korea or Online Register: In the USKRG facebook Group

Overview: Since the Adoption Truth Day Conference in September 2025, efforts have been ongoing to find solutions for adoptees based on the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s findings. This conference seeks to review the progress made for adoptees from South Korea worldwide, follow up on the TRC’s conclusions and the examine path towards solutions for adoptees. Attendance will be in person or online.


Topics will include:

  • Follow up on TRC's conclusions

  • Review of progress made for adoptees from South Korea worldwide

  • Paths toward solutions for aadoptees

Please note: USKRG will not receive any financial benefit from the tour. We are providing the tour to support adoptees wishing to attend the conference. The TRC Day and Conference are free events. The tour price reflects only the actual cost of lodging, included transportation within Korea, and the scheduled activities that are not free.
