This past week, USKRG visited the KAAN (Korean American Adoptee Adoptive Family) Conference in Denver. It was lovely connecting with so many in the adoptee community and strengthening the bonds of our lived experiences.
The weekend was filled with meaningful conversations, laughter, and solidarity. Many who we spoke to chose to share their stories with us. Even though we have heard hundreds of stories, each new story hits home. The difficulties adoptees have endured, the questions about their origins, and the sometimes terrible circumstances of their adoptions - all serve as a reminder of why we do what we do.
Thank you to everyone who stopped by our table to say hello. We also thank KAAN for providing a space for adoptees to gather in community. If you would like information about any of our initiatives or have questions, including who we are and what we do, as well as information about the TRC3, the Our Stories Matter video project, and the Annual Truth Day International Conference and Korea Tour, please reach out to us on email at info@uskrg.org or connect with us via our private Facebook group.
Thank you, all, and see you next year!
